It was the first time the Buccaneers were able to have family and friends watch them play without having to travel to Puerto Rico and it was also the first win for newly hired Head Coach Dr. David Santesteban making it a memorable day for all.

Captain Denny Smith scored not only the first, but also the game winning goal with the assistance of Kimani George and Ismail Yusef. It was also a great day for goal keeper Jahidi Gussie who wowed the crowed with seven saves.

The game opened with a ribbon cutting by Miss UVI, Elisa Thomas to commemorate the new field along with speeches by President David Hall and Provost Camille McKayle.
